Case-ready meats
One of the many
label opportunities within the food segment is case-ready
products. Case-ready products are packaged in a centralized
plant and delivered to retailers ready to be placed in the retail
case. These products are following the example of chicken,
which has been sold in a case-ready format for decades.
Case-ready products now include beef, ground beef, pork, chicken,
turkey and lamb. These products have experienced a double digit
growth over the past decade thanks to retail giants like Walmart and
Target. Label applications vary from shipping, nutritional
facts panel, price and weight to USDA labeling
