Decreasing Our Environmental
Footprint
At I.D. Images we use an Environmental Management
System (EMS) to help make our company as environmentally friendly as
possible. This EMS system involves doing everything in our power to
reduce energy usage, resource consumption, and waste output in all aspects
of our business.
Some of the simplest things that have decreased our environmental
impact in the past year are: decreasing our paper usage by
transitioning our faxed documents into an internal electronic file
management system, implementing dryers instead of paper towel
dispensers, recycling our pallets, and staggering our plant start-up
sequence. We have also become re-certified for TLMI's project
L.I.F.E. as mentioned in last month's newsletter.
Because of these efforts, over the past year we have had a 25.9%
increase in roll production per dollar of electricity used. Our gas
usage has also decreased by 17.7% over the past year.
We encourage you to do the same in your business to decrease your
environmental footprint and increase your efficiency. If you have a
