Location Spotlight: Meet the Team Behind Multi-Action – MAQ

Every ID Images location has its own strengths, but behind every label, shipment, and customer solution is a team of people making it happen.

This month, we’re highlighting Multi-Action – MAQ in L’Ange-Gardien, Quebec, where a dedicated team works every day to deliver high-quality labeling solutions for customers across grocery, food and beverage, logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, personal care, and other industries.

With a 43,000-square-foot facility and an extensive mix of flexographic, digital, converting, and finishing capabilities, MAQ has a lot to offer. But what truly sets the location apart is the experience, commitment, and attention to detail of the people behind the operation.

A Team That Keeps Customers Moving

Label production often happens behind the scenes, but the work the MAQ team performs has a direct impact on customers’ day-to-day operations.

Whether they are producing grocery scale labels that need to perform reliably in busy fresh departments, variable data labels that require accuracy from one label to the next, or prime labels designed to represent a customer’s brand, the MAQ team understands that quality matters at every step.

From customer service and sales to prepress, press operators, finishing, quality, maintenance, shipping, and operations, each employee plays a role in getting the final product into a customer’s hands.

And when schedules are tight or applications are challenging, that teamwork becomes even more important.

Experience on the Production Floor

MAQ employees work across a diverse range of equipment and printing technologies, giving the facility considerable flexibility in how customer projects are produced.

The team operates equipment including an HP 6900 digital press, a 10-color Mark Andy flexographic press, multiple additional flexographic presses, die-cutting equipment, rewinders, and finishing systems.

But equipment alone does not create a quality label.

It takes experienced employees who understand the materials, presses, adhesives, applications, and details that can determine whether a label performs successfully.

That knowledge allows the MAQ team to produce products ranging from:

Going Beyond the Specification

One of the most important parts of label manufacturing is understanding that two applications that look similar on paper may require very different solutions.

Temperature, moisture, application surface, expected label life, handling conditions, and adhesive requirements can all affect performance.

MAQ works with a broad selection of materials and adhesives, including permanent, removable, all-temperature, freezer, and aggressive high-tack adhesive options.

That variety gives the team options, but it is the knowledge of when and how to use those options that creates value for customers.

Employees throughout the facility bring that experience to each job, helping ensure that the product being manufactured is not simply printed correctly, but built appropriately for its intended application.

Supporting a Strong Grocery Business

Grocery is an especially important area of expertise for MAQ.

The facility produces scale labels, direct thermal labels, PLU labels, linerless solutions, and other products used throughout grocery and food environments.

These applications can be demanding. Labels may encounter cold temperatures, moisture, frequent handling, food packaging surfaces, and fast-moving retail environments.

The MAQ team has developed significant experience supporting these applications and helping customers maintain the consistency and reliability their operations require.

That expertise also supports ID Images’ continued investment and growth in the grocery market.

Teamwork Across the ID Images Network

MAQ is also an important part of the larger ID Images network.

Having specialized capabilities across multiple facilities allows our teams to collaborate, share expertise, expand capacity, and connect customers with the right resources for their particular application.

At MAQ, Operations Lead Daniel Devost and Sales Lead Jan Zechmann work alongside the broader team to support customers and keep operations moving.

But the success of the facility is the result of everyone contributing, from the employees running equipment and inspecting labels to those preparing artwork, coordinating orders, maintaining equipment, solving production challenges, and making sure finished products leave the facility correctly and on time.

Celebrating the People Behind MAQ

It is easy to talk about presses, materials, products, and technology when highlighting a manufacturing facility.

What is harder to capture is the amount of work taking place every day behind those capabilities.

It is employees solving problems when something does not go according to plan. It is operators paying attention to the small details that protect quality. It is teams communicating across departments to meet a customer deadline. And it is years of accumulated knowledge being applied to thousands of individual production decisions.

Those efforts are what make MAQ successful.

To the entire Multi-Action – MAQ team: thank you for the work you put in every day, the expertise you bring to your roles, and the commitment you show to our customers and to one another.
