Direct Thermal Labels

Direct thermal labels are used widely throughout many markets including food, transport and logistics, and healthcare. Direct thermal labels do not require a thermal ribbon and are excellent for short-term labeling. Direct thermal labeling is used for case ready meats, shipping labeling, and prescription labeling to name a few.

I.D. Images offers a large selection of direct thermal labels for direct thermal printing in both standard and premium varieties. Our product offering includes various direct thermal facestocks from paper to synthetic. We offer a variety of adhesive systems including permanent, removable and freezer grade to fit any application. Our direct thermal label media performs well with all popular printers. We also offer custom direct thermal labels if you do not find what you are looking for here.

We only sell through distributors. However, if you are an end-user, give us a call and we will work to set you up with a distributor. Standard Direct Thermal Labels: The material is an uncoated medium sensitivity product with excellent image quality. It is manufactured with a permanent acrylic adhesive. Since this product is uncoated, it should be tested by the end-user for their application. It should not be used for applications that require extreme environmental resistance or exposure to damp, oily, or greasy conditions.

Premium Direct Thermal Labels: The material is a top-coated medium sensitivity product with an all-temp/freezer grade, acrylic permanent adhesive. This product provides excellent image quality. Since it is top-coated, it provides excellent results in most environmental conditions. Premium direct thermal gives improved UV light, heat, rub, and scratch resistance. It is recommended that any direct thermal product be tested in an end-user application before ordering production quantities.
